Fall 2019

My Dearest Avery,

Oh my little girl, you're a full blown Kindergartner now! You're in Mrs. DiPierro's class and you're loving it! You've met some great new friends and you're doing well at grasping all the material they are throwing your way. You're a very quick learner, which can sometimes get you into trouble because you don't see the point in repeating something multiple times if you've already grasped it the second time :) You're also very social at school. You still want to be the first one there and the last one to leave. That social drive of yours also gets you into trouble, as you sometimes have a hard time focusing on the task and keeping quiet. You also yelled out about one of the kids being your boyfriend! Well, then Mrs. DiPierro had to explain that Kindergartners don't have boyfriends.

You're learning about the Presidents and you're also learning history (Boston Tea Party), Mandarin, Drama, Engineering, and subtraction! It's an intense school but you've taken it in stride thus far.

Outside of school, you've just stopped swim lessons because you know how to swim from one side of the pool to the other. We will still do seasonal lessons but that's it because you're doing soccer three days a week (two practices and then a game on the weekend). and you're in the lego engineering club at school. That's enough for now. We're talking about dance or basketball being added a little later on down the road.

For your fall break, we visited Washington D.C. and you loved it. You were a great sport about everything and helped out a lot. You've always said you want to be "everything" when you grow up but since going to the spy museum, you've been saying you want to be everything except a spy :) You don't want to be a bad guy!

One of the things I love the most about you right now is your caring heart. Whenever any of us gets hurt or sick, you come to the rescue. You especially like to help your brother. You bring a blanket, a stuffy and an ice pack. You're a really great big sister (and you've been asking for a little sister too - or a kitty or puppy)!

Here's your life in pictures right now......
