Six And Seven Months - Where Has The Time Gone?!

My Dearest Avery,
I know it's been a while and I'm sorry about that but I'm happy to report that the time I haven't been spending blogging has been well spent playing with you. Here are your official 6 and 7 month photos...

First go at it....you were sick that day :(
All better with a paci and a toy!
At 6 months, you were in the 87th percentile for weight at 18 lbs, 4 ounces, 70th percentile for height at 26.25 inches long and 77th percentile for head diameter at 43.2 cm. Again, we had a lot of firsts these past two months. Here are some highlights:

Mommy's first time being gone for a week without you (boo) so you got to meet Todd:

And you both sent cute pics like this one to me while I was away:

Your first two teeth:

Can you see them? I can...and I can feel them too!
You started sitting on your own well:

And picking your head up:

Your new highchair:

We like this one!
Skyping with Grandma Gail in your highchair!
Daddy dressed you well enough for an interview!

Lots of sporting events going on during the month of October...Royals made it to the World Series and ALMOST won and K-State and the Patriots were playing good ball:

Go Royals!

Daddy being mean...Royals played the SF Giants in the World Series.
Your first Halloween:

Bat Baby! Who could resist that costume?!
Chillin with mommy!
My little lady bug!

At the U of A science center for Halloween!

Your first walk in a new stroller (and many other walks to come in it):

What's wrong with this picture...yes, this is how dad normally walks the dogs!
Your first plane ride - you've had 4 plane rides to date, 3 of the 4 went well (let's not talk about the one when we were sitting next to the Arizona State basketball player on the way to KC):

Sleepy baby!
Your first trip to the beach AND first time staying in a swanky Ritz hotel:

You got a special gift package from the Ritz when we got there!

View from the hotel!
Such a cutie!

Walking trail right along the ocean!
Watching all the people arrive for daddy's Techonomy conference

Lazy!
Ready for the pool!
First time swimming! You didn't care for it as much as I thought you would!
Twinkies!
Ready for one of our daily walks!
Nothing like sharing the beach with your baby girl!

Trying to touch the ocean for the first time.
Dad got to join us for your first trip to the beach!

What is this stuff?!

Batgirl on the beach (because we lost your pink hat....found it later)!

Foggy view of the hotel

Center of attention with dad's Techonomy friends!
Pier 39 in San Fancisco - couldn't leave without seeing the sea lions!
Your first trip to the Tucson Children's Museum:

Different textures and your face in the mirror!
Playing with daddy!
You're not so sure about these blocks!

First ride on a slide!

Stop picking that nose!
Your first time meeting many of the Wadsworth side of your family:

With Grandma Dotty, who got to see you every day you were there!

Your first time in a shopping cart....the belt was really short for some reason
Aunt Chris, who made you laugh a lot!

Watching Frozen!
Daddy letting you play with his electronics :)
Meeting your Great Grandma Betty!

So studious...as you play with Aunt Cara while mommy and daddy are at the movies!
You and Uncle Will deep in conversation...
You and Aunt Cara (and baby cousin Emma in Cara's tummy)!

Meeting Aunt Rachel and your other Great Grandma Elinore!

Meeting honorary Aunt Megan - Uncle Adam was too afraid to hold you!

Cousin Lillian LOVED holding and playing with you!

Your first time eating solids (oat cereal):

So far, we know that you like oat cereal and green beans but you are still skeptical of peas.

More sleeping pics of you (love these - you really love sleeping on your belly, though):

Dad calls this "sleeping like a boss"
You got used to the umbrella stroller fast...kicking you legs back for a quick nap!
A few shopping pics:
Waiting for mommy....you clown!
Ready to people watch!
Already into Coach...daddy's in trouble!
We also know a lot more about what you like, as you're starting to show your preferences.... you sleep through the night, you now actually take a pacifier at bedtime most of the time, you like to put your foot up on my shoulder when you're nursing, you like to blow raspberries when you're bored, you like to be carried around in the carrier, facing out, so you can see everything that's going on (you're very observant), you like to pet the dogs, you like to roll around the room (and try to crawl, although you can just move back and forth and backwards at this point), you like to sit up from laying down (and you've gotten very good at it), you like to pull your socks and shoes off your feet at the first opportunity, and you like your baths - they have become play time for you and daddy! You also put everything in your mouth, hug and reach to be picked up, reach for food and drink, and giggle when I kiss your feet and belly.

Yup, that's your sock that you quickly pulled off and put in your mouth! This is status quo for us...
I know I say I love all of your phases but I'm loving life with you right now. It's so great to see you learn new things and watch your reaction. And one thing I absolutely love is coming home from work to you....you scream with joy when I get home and want to be held by me right away. I can't tell you how much I love that and how much that means to me. I know there will come a day when you won't be screaming with joy when I get home from work so I'm trying to take advantage and enjoy every minute of it!

All My Love,
Mom
